Code of ethics

Teaching and research is a novel profession based on extremely high moral values. Ethics and honesty are the two most important components of teaching and research. Sometimes, unknowingly publishing or presenting others work as their work will affect healthy academic atmosphere in the institute. This leads to distress on the reputation of the institute as well as the individual

Ethics and plagiarism are the significant components in research and publication. Sometimes it is to be observed that researcher’s claim others work as their own, which will degrade the reputation of the institution. There is every need to assess the research work of the researcher who produces their work in the form of research papers. Especially the research work in the form of papers should go through the process of plagiarism and has to maintain high academic and production standards. The research work produced would be thoroughly assessed for their viability across the globe and needs to reach the highest success. It is mandatory to follow certain code of ethics and also strictly adhere in implementing them, which will enhance the quality of the published works. The main objective is to promote the research and research publications and prevention of misconduct including plagiarism in R&D.

Narayana Engineering College Nellore is committed to promote and maintain high standards of integrity and accountability in the conduct of academic research and is keen to implant and endorse the culture of honesty and transparency in all its institutional activities while trying to allow academic freedom and innovative thinking. The institute strives to preserve academic honor and integrity by eliminating all forms of academic and intellectual fraudulence, including plagiarism.

The college is committed to maintain the standard of research, original thought and expression which are ensured through review committee constituted at Institutional level. All teachers and students follow the guidelines given by Savitribai Phule Pune University for publication in various journals which are recognized by the UGC. Every Research Scholar of the institute pursuing degree has to check his/her final project report using plagiarism detector before submission. Our library is equipped with quality journals, e-journals, e-books from various disciplines. It helps to provide a good platform for quality research.

Our institute follows the following procedure for plagiarism detection in research and publications

Preparation of research paper by faculty/student.
The faculty/student submits the research paper to the respective head of the department.
The research paper is reviewed by the head of the department and forwarded to R & D cell.
R&D cell checked through the Plagirismchecker software (https://plagiarismcheckerx.com/)
Committee will submit the review report and the recommendation to be imposed.
Changes and corrections are completed by students and faculty members as per the plagiarism report.
Finally report or research paper will proceed for submission or publication.
