About the Department
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 1998 to offer a four year B.Tech U.G program initially with an annual intake of 40 students. Currently the department administers B. Tech with an intake of 180 and M. Tech P.G. program since 2012 with an intake of 24 students in Computer Science and Engineering. The programs are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, India. Department of CSE is headed by Dr.C.Rajendra , Professor , who is having vast teaching, Industrial and Research experience. NBA was given Accreditation status for Computer Science and Engineering from the AY 2023-24 to 2025-26 for 3 years.

The Department of CSE aims at providing inclusive technology education and an ideal ambience to imbibe the best to all the inmates. The Department provides a comprehensive education on Computer Engineering Concepts by adopting the academic curriculum recommended by JNTU, Ananthapuramu through a team of well qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty facilitated with well equipped classrooms, state of the art computing infrastructure, research labs and facilities. In addition to the central library of the college, the department has a full-fledged library with several books and reference materials.
The faculty adopt innovative teaching-learning pedagogies and technologies to address individual understanding abilities of students for enhancing their technical competencies. Practical oriented learning and periodic mentoring of students has facilitated in maintaining excellent learning environment. The students are also guided by their appointed mentors to facilitate and advise them in all aspects for their personal, educational and career development.
The department has pioneered in building a strong relation with the industry and society that has helped the department to exchange the knowledge by conducting various seminars on latest technologies, industrial visits and workshops. Both the students and faculty are promoted to be updated with the latest happenings in technologies, Industry, society and academic practices through internal and external interactions, participations and programs.
The students are encouraged to exhibit their talent and learn from each other by providing various opportunities. The department facilitates and generously supports the students to participate in inter-collegiate academic as well as cultural events and emphasizes on leadership, service, and ethics. Students are also constantly encouraged to actively participate in various co-curricular events and competitions and hone their skills to shape up their career. A series of events are organized by students under Association of Computer Engineers (ACE) which is active throughout the year.
The department actively contributes to research through publications in reputed journals and project works in the domains of algorithms, system software, computer programming, multimedia, web, Data Science ,Networking and Advanced computer systems.
The Students of the department, over the years, have been recruited in renowned companies. Tremendous progress has been made by the department since its inception.
