AICTE has launched a scheme for establishing AICTE-IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation & Application) Lab in its approved institutions for encouraging students for application of Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fundamentals towards enhanced hands-on experience and learning by doing. As a common facility embedded in the institution, IDEA Lab facilitates the students to “engage, explore, experience, express and excel” as desired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in the wake of release of National Education Policy 2020. These Labs are mandated to function 24x7 in the institutions selected and be available to the colleges, schools, and industries around also.

AICTE- Idea Lab is a creative and innovative space or program designed to foster the generation, development, and realization of new ideas, inventions, or projects. These labs bring together individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds to collaborate on creative projects.

AICTE-IDEA Lab plays a crucial role in fostering innovation and creativity by providing a supportive and collaborative environment for idea generation and development.

• Extend support to all inter disciplinary students and staff such as all engineering branches, Medical , dental , agricultural , aqua culture, industries and society by promotional activities such as Hackathons, Workshops, Awareness Programme, Competitive Events etc.
• Also extend similar support to students of government and private schools ,who have Atal Tinkering Labs and help them grow to the next level, by making use of the facilities in the IDEA Lab.
• The Lab will be tuned to work not only for any revenues, but also to manufacture products that develop the region in eliminating pains of primary education and bring the goals of Industry 4.O( Robotics, IoT, 3D printing, AI tools, Machine learning etc) to the engineers, Research scholars and at different scholastic levels.
• The lab will be available 24X7 hours to meet the immediate needs of the society

Nellore district boasts of many Engineering colleges, Medical, Dental & Pharmacy colleges, Polytechnic colleges, Degree colleges, Schools and ITIs.

Revenue generation through Consultancy to MSME sectors, Start-ups and Researchers Extended its design and development services in a Turnkey basis and this gives an opportunity to the MSME to design, develop and upgrade their product lines.

The Lab could be an economically viable resource as the MSME need not travel other metro cities for the design requirements and this would also be an opportunity for revenue generation.
